THERE ARE NO BAD IDEAS ALL OF OUR IDEAS ARE BAD
THERE ARE NO BAD IDEAS ALL OF OUR IDEAS ARE BAD is a sixteen week observation journal for undergraduates that provides a simple structure for expanding their observational practices outside of the classroom.
It is based on my teaching philosophy, that “All of our ideas are bad (at first), and what we do as artists is the thoughtful labor of transforming bad ideas into good and great ones.”
It can be produced to fit the length of any semester or quarter, and can also be expanded to be far more rigorous for advanced students or for intense, but shorter periods of observational training and reflection. It is intended for any student whose work might require them to make observations in the field.
Please feel encouraged to contact me directly about large/class-size orders or requests for differently structured versions.
